Nurse Practitioner

Senior Research Nurse

Alma is the Senior Research Nurse at CATS and has been with the team since 2017. She became a RN in 2010 and holds a BA in Psychology and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing in 2018. Her former nursing experience includes ED, pre-op/post-op, behavioral health, and school nursing. Alma provides nursing care to participants of all ages with differing diagnoses. Participant safety and comfort are her priority. She truly enjoys taking care of participants as well as taking on the challenge of assisting with protocol development and study start-up.

Clinical Research Nurse

Alana Eshelman joined the CaTS team as a Clinical Research Nurse in March of 2024 working with studies and departments of varied ages and diagnoses. She graduated with an ADN from Pima Community College and became a nurse in 2007, later obtaining her BSN from Grand Canyon University in 2015.  Her past nursing experience includes PICU,NICU, pediatrics, neurology, ambulatory surgery (pre-op and post-op), and nursing and case management in home hospice for pediatrics and adults.
