UA Specific training links

Human Subjects Protection Program Office (HSPPO)

  • Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Training – to include the Native American and GCP modules. Must be renewed every 4 years. If a new employee has completed this training at another institution may be able to transfer all or part of the training. Confirmation can be obtain from the HSPPO.

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

  • HIPAA Training is required by all research personnel through UAccess Edge learning. Must be renewed every year.

Conflict of Interest

  • Disclosure of Significant Financial Interest must be completed by all key personnel. Must be renewed every year.

Oncore

  • Online Collaborative Research Environment (OnCore) is a comprehensive, Web-based Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS). It was developed to support investigators and research coordinators as a centralized place to manage all of their study protocols and subjects

Risk Management

  • Bloodborne pathogen training is required for any research personnel involved in handling biohazard materials such as blood, body fluid, and tissue involving human or animals.
  • Shipping Hazardous Materials training is required for any research personal involved in shipping (packaging, labeling & documenting) infectious substances, biological materials, genetically modified organisms and dry ice by air. (Must be renewed every 2 years.)
